The appellant sought copies/inspection of minutes of meetings of CBEC held from 01.06.2012 till date, placement committee of CBEC from 01.01.2011 till date along with copies of orders/note-sheets for formation/establishment of the placement committee, its policy decision, file nos. under which matter regarding placement committee has been dealt with since January 2000 till date.

The appellant is not present. The appellant filed an RTI application dated 14.01.2013, seeking the above information. CPIO/US in his reply allowed inspection of relevant record as the information sought was voluminous. The FAA/Dy. Secy. in his order recorded that the appellant, despite the CPIO's permission for inspection of relevant record, provided no information in that regard. He directed the CPIO to provide the information sought to the appellant within four weeks.
