1. The appellant Shri Manmohan Sharma, submitted RTI application dated 28.01.2014 before the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), Life Insurance Corporation of India, New Delhi seeking copies of twenty policies sent by Jalandhar Divisional Office for under writing decision; under writing made by Northern Zonal Office along with Rating sheet; queries raised by Zonal Office and compliance thereto by the Zonal Office regarding the disability of the applicant/policy holder; scanned copy of receipt of these policies delivered by Shri Harjit Malhotra agent to the applicant etc. through three points.

2. The CPIO vide letter dated 21.01.2014 informed the appellant that information on all the points had already been provided to him by the CPIO, Jalandhar Division vide letter dated 26.11.2013. The applicant had also filed first appeal dated 28.12.2013 before the FAA, Jalandhar Division against the CPIO's orders. Dissatisfied with the reply of the CPIO, the appellant filed an appeal on 25.02.2014 before the first appellate authority (FAA). The FAA vide order dated 06.03.2014 held that the appellant had filed a separate RTI application, so information sought/reply should have been provided to the applicant instead of informing him that he had already been given information by the CPIO, Jalandhar Division. The FAA directed the CPIO to provide information on four points consisting of 80 pages free of cost.
