2. Appellant through his RTI application had sought information regarding water points of water tankers of DJB. PIO replied on 05.08.2014 providing the available information. Being unsatisfied, appellant filed first appeal. FAA by his order dated 18.09.2014 upheld the information furnished by PIO. Being unsatisfied, appellant approached Commission.
3. Both the parties made their submissions. The appellant submitted that the respondent authority is not sending the water tankers to the respective points of his residential area as a result of which they are suffering with water shortage. The respondent authority submitted that water tankers are regularly sent to the respective water points, which are displayed in their public domain. They also submitted that the appellant's water point is 506 which is very near to his residence. But the appellant wants that the said water tanker should be stationed just opposite to his residence. They have further stated that it is a matter of 5 months with in which the water pipe lines are going to be laid in the appellant's area. The Commission having heard the submissions and perused the record, directs the respondent authority to issue necessary instructions to the drivers of their water tankers, to see that their water tanker is not stationed not beyond 510 meters of the registered spot, so that it does not create any problems for the consumers.
